Awards & Honours

Teachers and researchers at the University of Manitoba are frequently recognized for their achievements. This site pays tribute to those who have received the Order of Canada and/or the Order of Manitoba - the most prestigious honours in our country and our province – and/or have been named to the Royal Society of Canada, considered to be Canada's most prestigious academic accolade to which scholars and scientists aspire.

Currently, one University of Manitoba faculty member has been appointed as a Companion, five as Officers and four as Members of the Order of Canada. Additionally, seven individuals have been appointed to the Order of Manitoba and 33 have been named Fellows in the Royal Society of Canada.
