Social Work

The Bachelor of Social Work degree program is centered on a field instruction component that provides hands-on learning. The method of instruction includes individual and/or group seminars designed to assist the student to integrate theory with practice. Students will be placed in a variety of appropriate agencies or departments for fieldwork. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared for generalist practice in a variety of social work fields.

The Faculty of Social Work delivers programs in a variety of locations including:

  • Fort Garry Campus (main campus)
  • Inner City Social Work Program
  • Faculty of Social Work at Thompson (Northern Access Program)
  • Various cohort programs throughout Manitoba
  • distance education
