Welcome
International Students!
For
this school year, the University of Manitoba has 2661 international
students from around the globe. This has raised our international
student population to 9.5% of our total student body. To reflect
the increased presence of international students, we are continually
developing new services and supports for them including dedicated
international admission staff, an International Student Centre,
and a number of English language training programs.
The
following information provides a brief overview of the University
of Manitoba and answers frequently asked questions from international
students. For this overview, an international student
is defined as any student who is not a Canadian Citizen or Permanent
Resident (Landed Immigrant). This information will
also be of interest to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents
who are currently residing outside of Canada or who are applying
for admission on the basis of academic credentials completed outside
of Canada.
