Theatre Program
The Program:
The Theatre Program at the University of Manitoba introduces students to the world as seen through the perspective of the stage. Through participation in the theatrical process, students can access one of the most effective means of exploring the self, making Theatre an excellent component of a liberal, humanist education.
At the U of M, Theatre is studied through active participation in the Program and the Black Hole Theatre Company. Students have the opportunity to learn both in and out of the classroom, onstage and backstage through the production of the Company’s current season.
Upper-level students will acquire relevant and practical experience in all aspects of theatrical production.
What We Offer:
Our Program offers both a General Major and an Advanced Major in Drama.
We also offer a Theatre Minor, an excellent complement to majors in English, Film, Psychology, Sociology, Education and many other disciplines.
