GENERAL 
On weekdays, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., all visiting vehicles on the campus must be parked at a meter, in a lot dispensing visitor tickets, the University Parkade, or must display a visitor parking pass purchased from Parking and Shuttle Services.  Staff at the Visitor Centre (located at 423 University Crescent) can help direct you to the most convenient visitor parking locations.  Printed maps and change for meters are also available from the Visitor Centre.

PARKING RATES - METERS, DISPENSER LOTS, PAY & DISPLAY, PARKADE
Parking is available at most parking meters and in ticket dispenser locations at a cost of $1 per hour (machines accept loonies or twonies ONLY).  Parking in "SD" Lot or "SD West" Lot on Chancellor Matheson Road (west of University Stadium) is $2 for any 4-hour period, or $4 for the entire day.

Solar-powered Pay and Display Machines are located in the public parking sections of "K", "L", "T" and "U" Lots.  PAY & DISPLAY MACHINES ACCEPT COIN OR MAJOR CREDIT CARDS.  The Richardson Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals in Smartpark offers a number of short-term parking stalls for visitors.

Rates:
   Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m:
      $2 for every 2 hours 
      DAILY MAXIMUM: $8

The University Parkade is located north of the Helen Glass Centre for Nursing and attached to University Centre.
Rates:
   Between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m:
      $1 for each 1/2 hour for the first 2 hours
      $1 for each hour thereafter
      DAILY MAXIMUM: $10
         After 4:30 p.m: $2 flat rate.

There is a $12 charge for lost Parkade tickets.

BANNATYNE CAMPUS
Pay & Display Machines are located in "H" Lot on McDermot Avenue by Tecumseh Street, and ACCEPT COIN OR MAJOR CREDIT CARDS.
Rates:
   Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m:
      $1 for each hour
      DAILY MAXIMUM: $6
         After 4:30 p.m: $2 flat rate.

TEMPORARY VISITOR PERMITS / PARKADE VALUE CARDS / HOODED METERS
Visitor parking may be available in some staff or student lots on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis - or in the University Parkade on a short term temporary basis.  Departments may purchase temporary visitor permits and parkade value cards for their guests.  Permits may be mailed to your guests in advance or you can arrange to have the purchased permits available at the Visitor Centre for pick up by your visitors.
Temporary visitor permits are sold through the Parking and Shuttle Services Office in Room 125 University Centre at a rate of $4 (4 hour), $8 (daily), $24 (weekly), or $53 (monthly), plus GST.

University Parkade value cards may be purchased in advance on a departmental budget number and can then be issued to your guests for free parking.  Parkade value cards are arranged through Parking and Shuttle Services by calling 474-7139.  Rates are as posted at time of purchase.

In special circumstances, a department may have parking meters hooded and reserved for an event at an additional cost.  Please contact Parking and Shuttle Services for further details.

EVENING, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAYS 
After 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays, free parking is available in all staff, student, meter, and ticket dispenser lots.  This does not include 24-hour reserved areas, restricted areas, and the University Parkade.

CONFERENCE PARKING 
It is best to discuss your needs with Parking and Shuttle Services to see what arrangements can be made. If you are arranging an event that includes off-campus participants, it is essential to tell them in advance of the parking arrangements.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS 
Parking is not permitted in the following areas at any time: 24 hour reserved zones, loading zones, fire lanes and driveways, "no parking" areas, and handicapped areas (a university handicap parking permit must be displayed on weekdays between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.).
