University Teaching Services (UTS) is a collaborative unit that provides research-based leadership and support for the teaching and learning practices of individuals, programs, curriculum planning, and institutional policies and infrastructure to enhance the fulfillment of the University’s teaching and learning mission. In the broader context, UTS contributes to the growth of the practice and scholarship of post secondary education by conducting and disseminating research.

This workshop will provide a forum for discussion of how skillful questioning can be used to maximize assessment input from students in a field experience setting. The object of this input would be part of a formative assessment process.
Facilitator: Rae Harwood
Rae Harwood is a Clinical Course Leader in several field experience settings in the Faculty of Nursing. Rae has over 25 years of experience in Nursing Education in a variety of programs, and has developed a keen interest in how questions can be used as a formative assessment tool for clinical facilitators.
