1. William Jarvis, b. 1756 – first Provincial Secretary of Upper Canada[Editor’s note – This brief fragment concludes W.O. Raymond’s history of his line of the Jarvis family leading up to the American Revolution and afterwards in New Brunswick. This segment ends rather peremptorily with my father’s name. Raymond was a scrupulous academic and writer and never intended these family histories to be published – they were simply meant to be a record for his children and grandchildren.
