Thank You for entering into the Library database at the National Gallery of Canada, the Artist George Kasey, author of the “NADAist Manifesto” (see Media Free Times 1972 …AMICUS search) and we were very grateful that you were receptive and openly enabled us to communicate our particular slant on the phenomenology of Art i.e.:…”Religion is Art and Art is Religion”

However we are concerned that we may be classified with most 20^th CE art that has DADA as its root and that this would be misleading to the public i.e.: The Andre Breton School of Opium Surrealists, S&M performance et al.

May we suggest as an alternative classification in terms of 21^st CE Art Genres, that our file be classified under the keywords NADAist and NADAism

As Graham Hunter writes in *"Dada: Paradox of Art, Paradox of Life":"...The Dadaists thought that by creating paradoxical art that emulated the unpredictable nature of life they could protest against the misguided rationality of society..." We feel they were sadly mistaken, yet much of contemporary art attempts to emulate DADA, having lost the original meaning and intent and that a true, "clean and sober" strain from the original Pacifist Berlin DADA, is a spiritual anti-art that is in fact an unorthodox Zen Buddhist "NADA"… as such much of the pseudo DADA replication that is entombed in museums Today is metaphysical kitsch at its worst and an insult to the spirit of NADA. We do not wish to be associated in the public mind with these adulterations and aberrations. We plead that we be given our own folder in the data pile for the resurrection and preservation of the true Spirit of DADA that died and was buried by ART and now is born again as NADA.
