An Ecumenical Pacifist,*Baba
Nada AKA *Georgie is a well known in 12 Step recovery circles and is
a founding member of Anti-Nutrients
Anonymous and Media
Anonymous. His MeditationWalk,
with it's "Walk & Talk", informal Yogic Art
Therapy, is very popular with everyone from the workaholic executive
to the struggling artist. His disarming "Laughter is Good Medicine"
approach to Jnana, Raja and Nada Yoga, is at once both deceptively simple
and yet very powerful, in terms of raising the vibration and awareness
levels in both the novice and adept. It has been said that he can accomplish
with this approach in a few moments, what professional therapists attempt
to do in many months, without
much success and with the assistance of toxic pharmaceuticals. He makes
people laugh.
On a physical level,
and advanced student of Hatha Yoga, he is outspoken about keeping "the
temple within" clean, via "natural hygiene" as a prerequisite
base for advanced meditation and healing. He has himself undertaken
cleansing fasts and one that lasted fifty two days, on just spring water.
So is there a need for
this?
Only for those that
want to learn the arts of "natural hygiene" and "eternal
wellness".
An advocate of deschoolling
and the preservation of the ancestral oral tradition, of passing down
esoteric information via "mind to mind" transmission. "*gk"
was initiated into the study of the Vedanta Philosophy in '69, has taken
the vows of the renunciate (sanyasi) and completed a 22 year contract
with his spiritual mentor (Guru). In following the ecumenical path of
great teachers, like Illich, Sivananda, Nanak and others, he has established
the worlds first Virtual
Free University open to all under the rubric that "All rivers
lead to the same Sea".
He ("gk")
was present at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1993
and has been active in the representing the ancient ancestral Lithuanian
"Vaidila" tradition, which he traces, the Indo Aryan roots
of, back to the "Vaidyja" of Ajurvedic medicine.
Q & A :
Why
Applied Technethics in fields like Creative Direction, Executive
Counseling or Art Therapy?
When
the trendy rhetorical flourishes, of the ersatz religiosity
of Scientism are in ascendance and "eloquent"
artificial ignorance postures as "progress", in an increasingly
oxymoronic reality, It
is important to convey the phenomenological awareness that
"Religion
is Art and Art is Religion ." So what exactly does that mean?:
Success is a matter of practicing your beliefs, or at the very least
knowing what they are.
It
is now expected for Investors to question the "ethics" of
corporations and yet ethics is often viewed as a not for profit activity
i.e.: workaholic and addictive behavior is commonly
associated with "productivity".
It has been stated that that "conceptual thought"
is purportedly in the vanguard and "creativity is valued above
intelligence", yet there is still a higher premium generally
paid for formal education, as opposed to liberal education. Even
so, true creativity is not appreciated or encouraged, as it is the very
antithesis of conformity.
Change
is experienced as very difficult and is in fact often viewed as "impossible".
While in the so called "Arts", "…only
the impossible is worth doing," in "business" environments,
primarily "…only the feasible is attempted".
Our
interest has always been
to make the impossible feasible.
