Bjørn Brooks earned his M.Sc. from the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol, England. He received his Bachelor of Science from the Department of Biology and Ph.D. from the Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences at Iowa State University, USA. Since 2009 he has been a postdoctoral researcher studying carbon cycling within the U.S. Mountain West at the Center for Climate Research, University of Wisconsin-Madison. His present work involves data mining, data assimilation and inverse modeling to improve regional carbon dioxide flux retrievals over the complex terrain.
