Annotated Educational ResourcesThe explosive development of the World Wide Web in the last four years has provided an ideal repository for vast amounts of data on almost any topic. However, it is often difficult to differentiate reliable information from the banal. This conundrum makes it difficult for professionals and non-professionals alike when attempting to evaluate the merit of web sites. In addition, considering the limitations of the search engines presently available, it is often very time consuming to seek out appropriate web sites. To address this problem, we are introducing a feature where we will, in each issue, present an annotated list of high quality web sites on a single topic. Our first list will be dedicated to global change. With all the publicity surrounding the recent climate change meeting in Kyoto we thought that this topic would be particularly useful to educators, the general public and researchers alike. If you have suggestions for future subjects please pass them on. Climate Change Resources, Volume 1, Issue 1 |
