Kathy Campbell’s research interests include the paleoecology and paleoenvironments of terrestrial hot springs and undersea hydrocarbon seeps. She also studies trace fossils for use in high-resolution paleoenvironmental analysis. New Zealand’s geology has provided a rich mine of research possibilities for Kathy since her appointment to the University of Auckland in 1997.
