Floréal Solé realized his Ph.D. Thesis at the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle (MNHN) of Paris. He worked on the evolution and radiation of the earliest carnivorous placental mammals (Carnivora, Hyaenodontidae, Oxyaenidae), notably those from the Early Eocene of Europe. He is presently at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon; IGFL Team) as postdoc. He now works on the evolution and devolopment of the mammalian teeth.
