Patricia Abram

Patricia Abram was born in Toronto. She earned a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 1981 and practiced as a paediatric occupational therapist for eight years. In 1989 she moved to St. Catharines, Ontario. She served in 1995 as coeditor of Brock University's literary journal The Harpweaver, and as poetry editor in 1996 and 1997. Her poetry has appeared in periodicals, including The Fiddlehead, The Antigonish Review, Contemporary Verse 2, and Fireweed. She leads journalling and writing workshops throughout the Niagara region and is currently serving as writer-in-residence for the Niagara Branch of the Canadian Authors Association (term: March 1999 - February 2001).
