Fortner Anderson moved to Montreal from San Francisco in 1976. He studied at the University of California at Santa Cruz and Berkeley. He has spent over a twenty five years writing and performing his work in Canada, the U.S., and Europe. He has become a known for the performance of his poems, read a capella. He is currently a representative of a Canadian audio-visual union. His poetry has appeared anthologies and journals and his CD’s have been played on radio stations worldwide.
