Edith Baguinho is a Luso-Canadian native Torontonian. She grew up in a bilingual household in the City of Toronto yet spent many a summer in a fishing community in Southern Portugal. "A language is one of the great gifts of the Holy Spirit and growing up always immersed in English and Portuguese did much to flavour my present reality and art." Sharing those gifts with the countless talented students at St. Mary's Secondary School in Toronto has provided her life with even more joy, rewards, and blessings. (Nov. 2002)
