Barbara Jane Bucknall

Barbara Jane Bucknall was born June 8, 1933 in Teddington, Middlesex, England. She has a B.A. & M.A. Honours from the School of Modern Languages, Oxford and a Ph.D. from Northwestern. She studied librarianship at London University and worked as a librarian for a while before switching to university teaching. Bucknall worked in the U.S.A. from 1958 to 1969, when she came to Canada. She taught French at Brock University until retirement. She's also interested in women's studies and children's literature, particularly fantasy. Bucknall is a Canadian citizen.
