Gillean Chase is a poet and novelist whose published works include Triad Moon, her first published novel, a volume of poetry called The Square Root of Female, and a chapbook The Distress of Harvest. She is currently seeking publishers for two novels Out of the Fire and Pillow in the Window, and her book length volume of poetry Year of the Painted Snake. She lives in New Westminster, B.C., and works for the federal government after having been a teacher, a fundraiser and community development officer. She is happily living with her partner of four years.
