Gregory M.Cook
- Gregory M. Cook was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and has
worked as a news reporter, lecturer, executive director of the Writers'
Federation of Nova Scotia, freelance writer, dramatist, and
writer-in-residence at the University of Waterloo. More recently he has
resided in Toronto, Thailand, Fredericton, and Saint John, New
Brunswick, where he completed One
Heart, One Way/Alden Nowlan: a writer's life (Pottersfield,
2003). Cook has performed public readings in various public venues,
schools and universities in all Canadian provinces, including at
founding, or inaugural, meetings of several provincial writers'
organizations, as well as in Maine and Georgia, USA; England, the
Netherlands, and Germany. He is a member of The Writers' Union of
Canada and the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick, and a Life Member
of the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia. He has previously served the
League of Canadian Poets as a regional representative, treasurer and
appointee to the inaugural board of CANCOPY (ACCESS). (Author photo:
