Dennis Cooley was born and raised in Estevan Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Rochester and is now teaching Canadian and American literature, and Literary Theory at St. John's College, University of Manitoba. He has been a columnist for Border Crossings and is active in the Manitoba literary community, inlcuding being on the board of the Manitoba Writers Guild for many years.
