Diane Elizabeth Dawber, B.A., M.Ed., born in Belleville, Ontario, wife to Chris, mom to Michael and Matthew, long-time teacher of students (JK to post-graduate), curriculum consultant, performer of her own work and, recently, successful researcher of nutritional medicine.

Diane Dawber’s newest book, My Cake’s On Fire!, will be available from Borealis Press in the fall of 2000. It follows on the success of How Do You Wrestle a Goldfish? Borealis, 1997, My Underwear’s Inside Out, Quarry, 1991 and Oatmeal Mittens, Borealis, 1987. Her work is also available in ‘Til All the Stars Have Fallen, Kids Can, 1989, the Gr. 4,5, 6 and 7 Impressions series from HBJ-Holt and many other anthologies internationally such as the Hutchinson Treasury of Poetry for Children. An earlier book, Cankerville, Borealis, 1984, has been used in high schools and universities and with survivors of suicide. She is also author of two recent non-fiction books, Lifting the Bull and Reading to Heal, Quarry Press, 1999, about her adventures recovering from FM and MCS with nutritional medicine.
