Adam Dickinson

Adam Dickinson was born in Bracebridge, Ontario, where he grew up around the Muskoka Lakes. His poems and reviews have appeared in a number of Canadian literary journals. His first book of poetry, Cartography and Walking will be published by Brick Books in the spring of 2002. The collection that became this book won the 1999 Alfred G. Bailey Prize from the Writer's Federation of New Brunswick for the best unpublished poetry manuscript. He completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of New Brunswick before moving on to Edmonton where he is a Ph.D. student at the University of Alberta and a co-editor of The Olive journal and reading series.
