Susan Downe

Susan Downe was born in London, Ontario was raised there, and in Washington, D.C. She is a retired psychotherapist and Trustee of the Faculty of the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis.

Co-founder of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and the Ecole Francaise de London (Ontario), she is also the mother of four, stepmother of four, grandmother of eight, and apprentice to two large gardens.

Her work (poems and fiction) has appeared in Fiddlehead, Grain, Prairie Fire, Canadian Forum, and Pottersfield Portfolio, and is included in the anthology Fiddlehead Gold: 50 Years of the Fiddlehead Magazine.

In 1998, Spanish Onion Press published Between This . . . and This, a chapbook about her father's dying, and her mother's dreaming after than.
