Cecelia Frey has been active in the Calgary literary community
for many years. Author of 5 books of prose as well as the poetry
collections listed below, she has taught poetry and creative writing at
the University of Calgary, Mount Royal College, Calgary, the Calgary
Board of Education and the Alexander Writing Centre. She has won awards
for playwriting and for fiction and has worked as a freelance writer
and editor. Recently, with her husband, she has started Touchwood Press
and they are currently publishing their fourth book of poetry, her
Master's degree thesis, The Prairie Aesthetic in the Poetry of Eli
Mandel, is concerned with prairie space as female .
