Edward Gates

Edward Gates, a blueberry farmer, was born on April 23, 1950, in Saint John, New Brunswick. The content of much of Gates' poetry is centred around the farming community of Belleisle Creek where he lives. He uses a number of forms including the ghazal and prose poem and has been widely published in Canadian and American journals. His wife, Dorina Gates, illustrates his work.
