Jim Nason

Jim Nason has lived in Montreal, Calgary, Syracuse, Vancouver and Toronto. He is a social worker who has worked with marginalized populations for over fifteen years - incuding women and men diagnosed with HIV disease and who are living with mental illness. Jim has also worked as a flight attendant, a bookseller, and has taught creative writing at Ryerson University and was book review and poetry editor for Lexicon Magazine. Jim's stories and poems have been published in numerous journals and anthologies in Canada and the United States. He received his M.A. (English Literature) from McGill; B.S.W. (Bachelor of Social Work) from Ryerson University; and B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) from York University. Jim is a founding member of the Phoebe-Walmer Collective - whose members include - Sue Collins, VJ Kady, Laura Lush and Eddy Yanofsky.
