K.I. Press

K.I. (Karen) Press grew up in Edmonton and in the Peace River country of northern Alberta. She has since lived in Vancouver, Ottawa (where she got her M.A. from the University of Ottawa, specializing in Canadian literature), Toronto (where she worked in the book publishing industry) and Winnipeg, where she now lives. She works for the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Her three books of poetry are Pale Red Footprints (Pedlar, 2001), Spine (Gaspereau, 2004) and Types of Canadian Women (Gaspereau, 2006).
