Ali Riley
Ali Riley was born in Calgary, where she was the lead singer/songwriter
of Sacred Heart of Elvis, a seminal 80’s psycho-country band. In
Toronto she acted in various theatre productions, including The Lorca Play, When There Was No Money Left in
The World and Das Rheingold.
Her produced plays include dog
dream, Philosophy in the Bedroom, Hole in My Heart the Size of My Heart, and Schadenfreude Funhaus. In 1999 she
moved to a cabin in Winlaw, in the interior of British Columbia, and
lived off the grid. Her work has appeared in Geist and HorseFly. She currently lives in
Nelson, BC.
