Mari-Lou Rowley

Mari-Lou Rowley was born in Edmonton and raised in Saskatoon, where she attended the University of Saskatchewan. She worked in advertising and marketing, a seventeen-year career that took her to Edmonton and Toronto. She published her first book of poetry with Underwhich Editions in 1990. Four years later, she moved to Vancouver, where she completed an M.A. in SFU's Graduate Liberal Studies program and founded Pro-Textual Communications. Her science writing informs much of her poetry, which she describes as crossing the line between language and lyric.
