Classroom Approach:
Michael explores the history
of te African oral tradition and its connection to the form of
dub poetry, and the relevance of the art form to the oppressed.
He gives an introduction to dub then and now, looks at various
forms and styles, and formats of presentation, i.e., books CD's,
cassette, etc., gives a dub performance and an improv session
with the students. He will also talk about the business side of
the profession and dub poetry into the 21 century.
