Christopher Wiseman

Christopher Wiseman recently took early retirement from the University of Calgary where he taught since arriving in Calgary in 1969 and where he started the creative writing programme. He has been president of the Writers' Guild of Alberta, poetry editor of Ariel, editor and poetry editor at Dandelion, member of the board of the Alberta Foundation for the Literary Arts, and a Peter Gzowsky Poet Laureate. He was born and educated in England, did graduate work at the University of Iowa, and taught for seven years at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
