Derk Wynand

Derk Wynand was born in Bad Suderode, Germany on June 12, 1944, and came to Canada in 1952. He has a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of British Columbia, and has taught English and Creative Writing at the University of Victoria since 1969. He is also editor of The Malahat Review, and has been a translator, particularly of works by the Austrian writer H.C. Artmann, since 1969.
