Marie Elyse Yates St. George

Marie Elyse Yates St. George was born in Ontario, and now lives in Saskatoon. A visual artist as well as a poet, she has worked and studied in Canada, England and the U.S., and has exhibited in Canada and New England. Her visual work and poetry have appeared in art and literary publications, and several of her paintings have been used as cover art on the works of Western Canadian writers. In 1995 she collaborated with poet Anne Szumigalski on an exhibition of her paintings and Anne's poems at the Mendel Gallery in Saskatoon. She is currently working on a poetry manuscript and a series of essays exploring the poem/painting relationship.
