Matthew Daley is a freelance illustrator and Taddle Creek’s in-house fiction drawer. His books include the self-published The Yule Lads, a Christmas-themed picture book, written with his wife, Lindsay Gibb. He has contributed to the magazine since 2009. Last updated winter, 2017–2018.Cory McCallum has been slaving away for little or no pay within the music industry for more than twenty years, amassing quite a catalogue of material no one has much time for. Since being headhunted for word-wrangling duties at PlierPants, in 2011, Cory and the inimitable Matthew Daley have collaborated on a number of projects that both challenge the conventions of comic-osity (and English!) and exorcise (exercise!) their own artistic hang-ups. Their first full-length comic book collaboration, The Pig Sleep, won the Gene Day Award for Self-Publishing at the 2013 Joe Shuster Awards. Cory lives in Orangeville, Ontario, with his wife and two kids (none of whom read his work or listen to his music). Last updated spring, 2014.
