CBSA Invoice Requirements

2008-10-10

  1. This memorandum is revised as a result of the Paper Burden Reduction Initiative, the revisions are aimed at eliminating obsolete and duplicated requirements.
  2. In accordance with the above, the following changes were made:
    1. to include the updated CI1 form;
    2. to remove restrictions regarding who is to complete the CI1 form;
    3. to remove requirements already captured in Accounting for Imported Goods and Payment of Duties Regulations and/or the Customs Act; and
    4. to reflect the organizational changes resulting from the creation of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
