Cyber Protection Supply Arrangement (CPSA)

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This is to inform you that the Information Technology Security (ITS) Services currently administered under the Cyber Protection Supply Arrangement (CPSA) will be sunset during the Summer of 2013. A new stream of services will be added to the Task Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) method of supply during its next refresh process to cover requirements of the same nature.

Please note that any contracts awarded under the CPSA will continue for their full duration, including option periods, under the same terms and conditions as they were issued.

It is anticipated that TBIPS will assume effective operation of the ITS stream at the completion of its next refresh evaluation. In the meantime, ITS services will continue to be administered under the CPSA.

Introduction

The Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC), in partnership with PWGSC, has established a government-wide procurement vehicle for the delivery of various Information Technology Security (ITS) services required on an "as and when requested" basis to any department, board, or agency of the Government of Canada (GoC) or Crown Corporation or any other entity to whom the Department of Public Works and Government Services is authorized to provide services under the terms of the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act. ITS comprises the security of information, information technology hardware and software, networks, telecommunications, and other interconnected equipment and facilities in which the equipment is housed.

The CPSA supports GoC Client Departments and Agencies in creating an IT security framework consistent with the National Security Policy (NSP), Government Security Policies and the Operational Security Standard on Management of Information Technology Security (MITS).
