As most of you know, the target implementation date for Release 2.0 was February 28, 2011. Following an extensive assessment of both the solution and the organizational readiness, the decision has been made to defer the implementation of Release 2.0 to April 11, 2011. Consequently, we must also delay the centralization of the following pension services: Pension Benefit Entitlements, Survivor Pension Entitlements and Employer Support Services.

From now until the centralization of the pension benefits, organizations should complete all pension benefit and survivor pension entitlements work received, and any retirements on hand should be processed following the current processes with no need to advise the member of the centralization.

We would like to remind you that during the transition period and after the centralization, the practice of forwarding pension documents to Matane will remain in effect. Please continue to send all pension documents to the Public Service Pension Centre at the following address:
