Pension Transformation Initiative: January 2013 No. 10

Completed Successfully

On January 2, 2013, the Government of Canada Pension Modernization Project (GCPMP) was completed successfully with the implementation of the final software release, which provided the new system components for administering retired member accounts.

All services provided by the Government of Canada Pension Centre and the online services provided by the Compensation Web Applications (CWA) have been fully restored. Your assistance during the transition period was greatly appreciated. Indeed, the support of the compensation community during each software release and throughout the Transformation initiative has ensured a smoother transition to the new system and services.

Centralizing services and replacing a 40-year old system that was no longer sustainable with modern technology is ensuring that all plan members will have access to the high quality services they have come to expect well into the future.
