
Photographs can and often have been used as tools of resistance. Historical photographs have provided contemporary Aboriginal artists with sources of inspiration; they have documented the ways in which Aboriginal peoples in Canada have coped with their surroundings; and they have celebrated the many accomplishments of Aboriginal people in Canada.
