Symposium 2008

Following on the success of the 2006 Symposium and to address growing interest in the field of Irish-Canadian studies, Library and Archives Canada hosted an Irish Studies Symposium in November 2008. The symposium was open to the general public on November 3 and 4, at 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario. Presented with the support of the National Archives of Ireland, the Irish Studies Symposium brought together historians, students, genealogists, and researchers in an open dialogue to explore Irish and Irish-Canadian documentary heritage.
