Duty deferral - Information sessions

The Canada Customs and Revenue Agency held public information sessions to inform clients of the benefits of the Duty Deferral Program and to consult with clients in providing input and advice in the further development of the Duty Deferral Program.

The sessions provided information on:

• the benefits of the Duty Deferral Program
• the implementation of Duty Deferral enhancements based on Government of Canada Budget 2000 commitments
• the design of the new "Duty Deferral Operator" concept
