Ottawa-Gatineau Area Federal Bridges – Lane Closures

In the Ottawa-Gatineau area, there are three bridges that are owned by the Government of Canada and maintained by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC):

• Map of Alexandra Bridge
• Map of Chaudière Crossing
• Map of Macdonald-Cartier Bridge

The Champlain and Portage bridges are maintained by the National Capital Commission (NCC).

Alexandra Bridge

• November 25, 2016 (Alexandra Bridge Steel Repairs Project) (bridge closure)
• September 30, 2016 (Alexandra Bridge Steel Repairs Project) (lane closures - October 3, 2016 to the end of May 2017)

Chaudière Crossing

• December 2, 2016 (lane reductions)
• October 12, 2016 (sidewalk closures)

Macdonald-Cartier Bridge

• May 20, 2016 (lane modifications during construction work)
