6.1 Introduction
This chapter provides information on program codes (PROG) which are included in the Program Alignment Architecture (PAA). The program codes are used to account for the use of resources to promote overall government program objectives.
The format of these PROG is composed of a 5 digit field: 3 alpha (capital letter) and 2 numeric digit codes.
Example: AAA00 — the first 3 digits are capital letters and the last 2 digits are numbers.
