Evaluation of options
The evaluation of options reviewed and assessed available fighter aircraft. This work included an assessment of the current and future threats facing Canada. Each option was evaluated against the roles and missions of the Canada First Defence Strategy. The work resulted in the best available information on the capabilities, costs and risks of each option, including bridging and fleet options.
