Morninglory Farm

by Anne Lumley

I arise this morning and there is no racing
The chickens want feeding, yes
But they can wait

I come from civilization
I feel inside me the drive
To accomplish
To succeed
To achieve
Here the morning sun on wet grass
Says, too, this is your life
To enjoy
To feel
To be filled

ANNE LUMLEY IS AN ORGANIC FARMER AND REFLEXOLOGIST. SHE LIVES AND WRITES SOMEWHERE IN ONTARIO.
