Subject: Tom Henihan's "Poetry Readings - Stand Up and be Counted"

Hello,

I just finished reading Tom Henihan’s essay “Poetry Readings – Stand Up and Be Counted.” I am the marketing chair for the Canadian Poetry Association, and one of the major frustrations I face regularly is that everyone and their mothers refer to themselves as poets. It is this practice that leaves serious poets clambering for creative clout. In my opinion your essay is exceptional and informative.

Thank you!
