Subject: Michael Holmes Interview, etc., on Carmine Starnino

Dear TDR,

I'm very happy to take responsibility for the criticism I've written, but I refuse to be judged by the criticism people IMAGINE I've written. With regards to Michael Holmes' "accusations", I've never published a word in Matrix magazine on Christian Bok's poetry. Matrix did, however, run Bok's reply to my Books in Canada review of Eunoia. And, alas, I've never published a word on Al Purdy's poetry in Canadian Notes & Queries. That was David Solway.

All the best,

Carmine Starnino
