Ambitious                            Politicians                  Truth
Chameleons                         As ambitious                Like a traffic light,
trying                                      as cancer.                    we stand in front of it,
to imitate rainbows.                                                    willing it
                                                                                      to change.

              More than the autumn leaves
              The path through the city park,
              brittle with
              a thousand goodbyes

                       A belief of mine
                       I think
                       that clarity
                       is as necessary to poetry
                       as water is
                       to the human body.
