Before a rain

Clouds roll in to cover the land with darkness.
Gulls fly out to warn others.
A silence begins to occur.
The yellow grass on the cracked land starts to sway in the wind.
The dry dusty hot air gets warmer and more dust is mixed in the breeze.

After a rain

After nature's way of refreshing itself,
Shadows crawl across the damp grass to hide from the brightness of the sun.
Water drips slowly from the top of regenerated leaves on trees to the pulpous soil.
Water starts to vanish in the humid breeze of the slowly blowing wind.
The freshness of the grass and trees paint a portrait of many shades that only nature can make.
