Qualified applicants are being sought for a 2-year term position at the rank of Instructor I, II or Senior Instructor (depending on qualifications and experience) in the Bachelor of Nursing Program at the Norway House site.
POSITION:
The successful applicant will serve as an on-site Course Leader in the academic
development, delivery and evaluation of theory and clinical undergraduate nursing
courses; integrate scholarship into clinical and classroom teaching; and participate
in professional and community organizations. The successful applicant may be
required to offer courses by various distance education modalities to Faculty
of Nursing Program Sites throughout the province. In addition, the successful
applicant will work in partnership with First Nation leaders and communities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree (in Nursing
preferred or in a related discipline)
• Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Registered
Nurses of Manitoba
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred
• Experience and background in northern nursing preferred
• Excellent communication and interaction skills
• Ability to foster collegial relationships with health care agencies
• Scholarly capabilities
